Vintage Rough Wear Rough-In Front Quarter Horsehide Leather Jacket.

Original Civilian jacket based on their A-2 contracts. The Rough Wear Clothing Company moved to Middletown, PA in 1928 and held contracts for their military A-2 jackets between 1940-1942.

My guess is that this jacket is from somewhere in the 1940’s. It is made from Front Quarter Horsehide (FQHH). It has the Rough-In (Middletown, PA) label that I’ve only seen in civilian jackets from them.

Overall the jacket is in really good condition for its age. It has a couple of holes in the liner which I’ve pictured. All of the pocket lining’s are completely intact, and the Talon zipper works flawlessly. The sleeve knits are in decent condition, and the lower knit has a couple of minor holes. Also there is J.S.C. lettered into the front of the left hand pocket, which I’ve pictured.

All jacket measurements are taken laid flat.
Shoulder to Shoulder: 17.25”
Pit to Pit: 20.75
Collar to Hem: 22.25”
Shoulder to Cuff: 24.75”
