The Countach is a supercar produced and sold by the Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini from 1974 to 1990. The LP400 was the initial model of the Countach (1974-1978) and is characterized by the absence of over fenders. With a production run of 152 units, the recess in the center of the roof, designed for the rearview mirror, was called the "periscope." Its audacious design defined Lamborghini's brand identity.
