Great Christmas gift! The train is in good working condition. Disclosure: one of the train does have one latch on one end that broke but can be replaced so we just use it as the last train. It can move forward and backwards, slow and fast, and make the train noise—all controlled by remote. It comes with everything in the box plus extra tracks to build with. A wonderful starter train set gift. Unfortunately, Mercari does not support videos but I do have one to show that it works. One owner and was seldom played with. Retails for $400 + tax and currently still available.
