Antique Victorian Wood Tray Butterfly Leaf Dandelion Thistle Fluff in Glass 22"

Antique Victorian Wood Serving Tray with what appear to be real, taxidermy butterflies fixed in place between two layers of glass.  There are also tree leaves and some grasses, and the entire background is covered in whispy dandilion or thistle fluff seeds, and beneath that may be a layer of mica. The butterfly or blue moth wings appear to be real, but the bodies are likely hand-painted paper. The wood frame is dovetailed in two places and appears to be hand made; note the antique nails on the back that hold the glass in place.

Nice antique condition: the leaves and grasses have faded with time; the butterfly colors are still vibrant. The tray is about 22" long from handle to handle and 14" the other way. It can rest on its felt feet or be mounted on a wall.
