A lovely, unique find - c.1842 Haviland & Co Limoges Coffee Pot with Diamond Registration Kitemark & 22kt Gilding

This large porcelain coffee pot bears a British Kitemark indicating manufacture around 1842, then purchased and decorated by Haviland & Co. Limoges (likely in Paris at David Haviland's studio). In 1856 David Haviland opened his Pottery in Limoges where he would no longer require buying "Blanks" to be decorated).

It features a split, braided rope handle and is strikingly accented with 22kt Gilt all around. The mold has some lovely raised features that are Gilded. Base is white, with a band of Cream color cobb around the upper segment. Has a lovely transferware floral pattern in bright greens and pinks on both sides. A braided "rope handle" Finial adorns the top.

Measures 9.5"H x 8.5"W x 5"D

CONDITION: MINT/NM with no chips, cracks or crazing and very clean! A speck of Gilt fade at the lip perhaps. The yellow cobb ring has lightened a little. A treasure!
