Beautiful 19th century French Ormolu mounted glass bowl
*a statement piece
- bronze / brass
- glass bowl w/four etched scenes:
2 with flowers and 2 with fruit
- ornate base w/ornately decorated legs and claw feet
- rim piece that sits atop the rim of the bowl is removable (it was glued on but the glue dissolved and has been cleaned off)
- says France on underside of circular part if base
- has 31 - 1539 etched on the backside of one of the legs
- measures 8.25” diameter by 7” high
- excellent condition for age: a minor & very small scratch on glass. Can only se if are a few inches away. (see pictures)
